About the scanner

You are probably here because you saw PXLConsentScanner/1.0 (+https://consent.pxl.as/scanner) in your access logs.

PXL Consent is a cookie consent service. Its scanner loads pages of websites whose owners have added them to PXL Consent, to check which cookies they set and whether their cookie banner works. Scans run when the site owner asks for one or on the schedule they set, typically weekly or monthly.

• A scan loads at most 15 pages, three times each (before consent, after accepting, after rejecting).
• It only follows links within the site being scanned.
• It never submits forms or signs in.

If the scanner visits a site that has not been added by its owner, or causes problems, contact PXL at [contact address] with the hostname and time, and we will stop it.
